Chris Burns, Associate Professor of Biomedical Science at Roseman University of Health Sciences in Las Vegas, NV is now also an Advanced-EMT. He provides out-of-hospital emergency care with Guardian Elite Medical Services at music festivals, athletic competitions, and other special events. Dr. Dean X. Parmelee, Professor in the Departments of Psychiatry and Pediatrics, and Associate Dean of Medical Education at the Boonshoft School of Medicine was presented with a 2016 Alpha Omega Alpha Robert J. Glaser Distinguished Teacher Award at the recent AAMC Annual Meeting, held November 10-15, 2016. An early pioneer of team-based learning (TBL), Dean X. Parmelee, M.D., has been a champion of medical education innovation for more than three decades. Norma S. Saks, EdD has received the "Meritorious Service Award" from Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Y. Gloria Yueh, Ph.D., chair of the Biochemistry department at Midwestern University’s Glendale campus, was promoted to Associate Dean of the university’s Basic Science Division.

To better support your membership needs, it may be helpful to know our members and what they do for IAMSE. Julie K. Hewett, CMP, CAE Julie has been supporting IAMSE for over 17 years in many different ways. Currently, she is responsible for Board and Committee support and conference management. Julie will continue to oversee the rest of the management team to support the overall needs of the Association. Brandi Hinkle Brandi’s role with IAMSE will be as the first point of member contact whether by phone or email. She will be helping to manage the day-to-day operations of the Association and will be available to answer questions regarding memberships, web audio seminars and upcoming Association activities. Amoritia Strogen-Hewett Amoritia currently serves as the Editorial Assistant for Medical Science Educator. She will also play a major role in abstract management for the conference as well as on-site logistics. Alex Strogen Alex creates graphics for the association while also handling any of the marketing needs that may arise. Danielle Inscoe Danielle manages the social media aspect of IAMSE. She helps create posts to get the word out about what goes on within the organization.
