Norma Saks was appointed Member-at-Large on the Northeast Group on Educational Affairs (NEGEA) Steering Committee. This is one of the regional groups associated with the Group on Educational Affairs (GEA) of the AAMC.

Don Linville has been promoted to Director of Problem-Based Learning for Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine at the Seton Hill site.  Don was formerly Assistant Director at the Erie location but now has moved to the Seton Hill site in Greensburg, PA to assume his new role.

Senthil Kumar received the Golden Apple Award for the year 2010 at St. Matthews University School of Medicine. Golden Apple selects teachers who exemplify the highest standards and practices of the teaching profession.

Deb Barr has been promoted to Professor in the Department of Basic Sciences at New York Chiropractic College.

Marshall Anderson was selected as the 2009 Central Group on Educational Affairs (CGEA) Laureate. Every year the CGEA recognizes one person who has made long-standing and substantial contributions to medical education, has exhibited leadership, developed other medical educators and become a standard setter through scholarly contributions to medical education.

Chris Burns has been appointed as Associate Professor and Director of Medical Education for the Department of Microbiology at the University of Virginia School of Medicine in Charlottesville, VA. India Broyles, Master’s in Medical Education Leadership director, received an award of appreciation from the Society of Osteopathic Medicine at the annual meeting of the American Association of Colleges of Osteopathic Medicine. India was recognized for her leadership over the past two years in the development of the OME International Collaborative. In addition, she chaired the OME International Collaborative planning session and writing of By-Laws.
