observations that do not warrant full length papers in JIAMSE but are
longer and contain more data than Innovations in Medical Education. The
Short Communications are submitted the same way and peer-reviewed by the
same process as all JIAMSE submissions. The Short Communications are not
considered as preliminary communications. Each Short Communication must have an abstract of no more than 50 words.
The text is NOT separated into section headings, but rather is one
continuous description of the research or commentary. Materials and Methods
are also described in the text. The total Short Communication should not
exceed 1200 words and the number of Figures and Tables should not exceed
three (3). These communications will be published in the June and December
issues of JIAMSE in a section under the Short Communications in Medical
