Speaker Introduction

Gary Rosenfeld is Professor of Pharmacology and Assistant Dean for Educational Programs at the University of Texas Medical School at Houston where he also serves as Director of the Summer Research Program and as Chairman of the Academy of Master Educators.  Dr. Rosenfeld served as the first Chairman of the Division for Pharmacology Education (DPE) of the American Society of Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (ASPET).  He was a charter member of the International Association for Medical Science Educators (IAMSE) and its Board of Directors and currently serves as the chairman of its Public Affairs Committee. He also served for 10 years on the AAMC:GEA "Scholarship Project" Committee and currently serves on the AAMC "MR5" committee that is charged with a conducting a thorough review of the MCAT. In 2006 he was elected to membership of the new University of Texas Academy of Health Science Educators. Dr. Rosenfeld received his PhD in pharmacology from the University of Chicago.
