Speaker Introduction

Robert M. D'Alessandri, MD, President and Dean, serves as the Chief Executive Officer and the Chief Academic Officer of the College. Dr. D'Alessandri is responsible for setting priorities, institutional direction and management and the functioning of the College, as well as curriculum development and execution, the student experience, faculty recruitment and development and execution of the research agenda. As chief spokesperson, he is responsible for all external relations of the institution. Dr. D'Alessandri is an educator with over eighteen years of experience in senior leadership positions at West Virginia University, including almost fifteen years as Dean of the WVU School of Medicine.
