Classroom Assessment Techniques:
Finding out How Well They are Learning What We are Teaching -

Presented by Dr. Thomas Angelo,
University Teaching Development Center,
Victoria University of Wellington, New Zealand

Description

By participating actively in this very brief session, you can expect to accomplish four learning objectives.  First, you'll find out what Classroom Assessment (CA) is, how it works, and how it can help your students become more independent, effective learners. Second, you'll see examples of simple, practical CA techniques you can adapt to assess your students' learning in face-to-face or online settings. Third, you'll review practical guidelines for success – dos and don'ts – based on nearly two decades of field-testing.  And fourth, you'll be prepared to try at least one new idea for assessing and improving your students' learning.
