Description
One challenge of modern educational
facilities is putting into practice new learning theories,
styles and technologies with the design or redesign of
learning spaces. Dr.
Brown has been a proponent of careful design of learning
spaces to balance teaching and learning approaches,
faculty and student cultures, institutional goals, and
available resources, all in the face of a rapidly changing
digital environment.
In this one hour Webcast Audio
Seminar, Dr. Brown will discuss the learning styles and
characteristics of current students to learning theory
principles from which the needs of physical learning space
design and technology application spring.
This discussion will provide a useful viewpoint for
faculty and administrators involved in designing current
and future teaching and learning activities.
The seminar will consider the cultural, educational
and institutional factors that need to be considered in
space design for both faculty and students.
