Description:
The purpose of this course is to help medical science educators to use qualitative and quantitative methods appropriately and effectively in educational planning, evaluation and research.
Participants will:
| Describe the appropriate uses of common qualitative and quantitative methods in educational planning, evaluation and research | |
| Analyze qualitative data, such as the results of open-ended questions in surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observational field notes | |
| Design effective structured survey questions | |
| Identify resources for refining their skills in the use of qualitative and quantitative methods for educational planning, evaluation and research |
