Mini-invasive
techniques of operations have a rapidly growing importance with respect to
finding out the most considerate way for diagnostic examinations and for
definitive attendance of patients in recent years. Endoscopic methods can
be found in various fields of modern medicine namely in surgical branches
(laparoscopy, arthroscopy, thoracoscopy etc.) and noninvasive branches (bronchoscopy,
gastroscopy, FES etc.) The importance of education and experience with
endoscopy increases quickly. Our department has changed the embalming
method with formaldehyde to the method created by professor Thiel two
years ago. New method preserves plasticity and nature of soft tissues of
impregnated bodies and gives a wide usability of cadavers for imitation of
surgical manipulations. Based on these possibilities we reconstructed one
lecture hall to operative theatre. Operative table and universal
endoscopic tower for rigid endoscopies were bought. In the whole
dissection part of our department multimedial digital technology of
audio-video network with wire-less connection to internet and the graphic
studio for making high quality educational materials from videosequence to
large area printed posters were created. Several demo arthroscopies of
knee, carpal and shoulder joints and laparoscopy for orientation in the
abdominal cavity with organs in situ on the special technique embalmed
bodies were shown during dissection courses of the first and the second
year students of medicine in this year. Moreover simulations of meniscus
and anterior cruciate ligament surgery in the knee joint with grafting
from patellar ligament were demonstrated. Patient was drapped and
positioned as same as in real operation. We plan to arrange the
educational courses for young physicians in future. They will have an
unique opportunity to become acquainted with endoscopic technique and
instruments for various kinds of endoscopies. We do not restrain from
testing of cutting-edge approaches in endoscopic management of different
diseases. Creation of the educational centre is an explicit answer not
only to question about necessity of clinical anatomy education in
curriculum of medical faculties but about postgradual education of young
physicians, too
