This study aimed to detect the evaluation of medical school graduates themselves with respect to some features that had gained during their training activity.

This study was a cross-sectional study that was conducted on 187 medical doctors who were graduated from Gulhane Military Medical School in 2004. All participants completed a 36-item self-administered questionnaire.

The proportion of participants who were graduated in 6 years (no loss during education period) has been 79%. Only one forth of the students have stated that they participate in the academic training activities more than one in a week during their training period. The proportion of the participants utilizing library facilities more than one in a week has been 22%. Nearly half of the graduates (46.3%) think that the training activities conducted in the academy are sufficient. One sixth of the students have stated that they had sometimes communication problems with academic faculties. Only 34.2% of them have stated that they had received sufficient support by faculties during their training period. And only 30% of them have indicated that they have received sufficient psychological and sociologic support during their training period. Of all participants, 68% have stated that they had gained efficient communication skills at the end of their training period. The proportion of participants who think have the sufficient information about the quality concept and conscious in healthcare services is 73%. And 67% of them think that they will be able to use their medical knowledge efficiently in their future professional life.

Although two thirds of the graduates have stated that they had gained efficient communication skills at the end of their training period and they will be able to use their medical knowledge efficiently in their future professional life, it is remarkable that only one third of them have stated that they had received sufficient support by faculties during their training period.
