Description

The purpose of this course is to help medical science educators to use qualitative and quantitative methods appropriately and effectively in educational planning, evaluation, and research. 

Participants will:

 
describe the appropriate uses of common qualitative and quantitative methods in educational planning, evaluation, and research
analyze qualitative data, such as the results of open-ended questions on surveys, interviews, focus groups, and observational field notes
design effective structure survey questions
identify resources for refining their skills in the use of qualitative and quantitative methods for educational planning, evaluation, and research
