Description

The purpose of this course is  to examine the attributes that make an effective course director.  In doing so, some common pitfalls may be avoided.

Participants will:

 
discuss course director responsibilities regarding course content, examinations, policies, scheduling and faculty development
identify effective use of course resources, e.g., faculty, texts, syllabi, lab support, student evaluations
evaluate productive interactions between fellow course directors and deans of education
analyze productive interactions between course directors and students
