Description
The purpose of this course is to examine the attributes that make
an effective course director. In doing so, some common pitfalls may
be avoided.
Participants will:

discuss course director responsibilities regarding course content, examinations,
policies, scheduling and faculty development |
 |
identify effective use of course resources, e.g., faculty, texts, syllabi,
lab support, student evaluations |
 |
evaluate productive interactions between fellow course directors and deans
of education |
 |
analyze productive interactions between course directors and students |
