Integrative Team Learning in Large Group Settings

Description
Course Number C-4: The purpose of this course is to introduce
participants to the principles and methods of Team Learning, a teaching
strategy new to medical education that has been shown in other disciplines
to promote individual and small-group accountability for learning in a
large group, “teacher-centered,” environment.
Participants will:

compare and contrast Team Learning with Problem-based and Lecture-based
Learning |
 |
describe key principles and practices associated with effective use of
Team Learning in medical education settings |

evaluate the evidence about the impact of Team Learning on learners’ knowledge,
skills, and attitudes |
