After working all week with the Wasatch Mountains beckoning, you can, with a clear conscience, explore the nearby mountains. The plan is to go by accessible bus to one of the nearby ski resorts, most likely Snowbird up Little Cottonwood Canyon, or Sundance up American Fork Canyon. We will provide bus transportation and dinner. Unfortunately these resorts will not let us reserve without reserving rooms until 2 or 3 months before the event, thus the vagueness of this announcement. Both venues have been used for very successful past Slice of Life meeting grand extravaganza events. Being a week day we anticipate one of them will be available. (There are also 5 other resorts). The day is designed for both loafers and hikers. Optional activities include riding the chair or gondola for a majestic view and and hike down, mountain bike rental, wildflower photography, etc. We regroup for happy hour and fabulous dinner and depart for the city after enjoying a long, luscious summer evening. Recommended are good walking shows with griping soles or low cut hiking boots if that is your style, warm jacket for the evening, shorts/long pants, hat, sunscreen, walking stick if you use one. Families are welcome. Plan to return home on Wednesday as return to Salt Lake City will be about 10:30 or 11 p.m. Price: $80. This is a wonderful time to
continue networking with old and new friends as well as cool off and enjoy
the westernmost range of the Rockies.
