F8 TBL Session:  Learning About Feedback through Peer Evaluation

Paul Koles, Wright State University
Ruth Levine, University of Texas Medical Branch

Peer evaluation is a critical component of TBL because it enhances the accountability for the learners.  An additional reason, often overlooked, is that it can help learners discover usable information about themselves for working in the professional environment, and they can learn how and when to give constructive feedback to their peers.  The leaders of this session will engage the participants in a discussion about the ‘values’ inherent in a TBL curriculum that incorporates peer evaluation.
