Advanced technologies are transforming the very nature of healthcare. Virtual reality, robotics and telemedicine have revolutionized the practice of medicine. The current view is that the Future is Here … it is the Information Age. New technologies that are emerging from Information Age discoveries are changing our basic approach in all areas of medicine including medical education. In this presentation, we will explore examples of these technologies and examine how medical education will have to change in order to keep up.
