F2 - Curricular Models for Integrating Genetics, Genomics and Proteomics Concepts into Medical Education and Clinical Practice

Molecular genetics, genomics and proteomics are now part of medical diagnosis and therapy, but many physicians lack the background to understand and apply these modalities. The challenge to educators is to identify the most pertinent topics for instruction for integration into pre-clerkship years and to collaborate with clinicians in reinforcing those topics during clerkships. Several curricula have evolved to optimize this integration and can serve as models in evaluating how best to meet these educational needs
