F14 - Team Based Learning on Trial

Team-Based Learning (TBL) is an instructional strategy which allows an instructor to facilitate application of course content through small group problem solving in a large group setting. Variations between institutions affect the success of implementing this strategy. A challenge to an instructor considering using TBL is judging what is pedagogically worthy, and also the more subtle questions of in which course, at what "dose," and for which instructor will TBL be successful? We will provide an innovative judge and jury trial process to help practitioners evaluate data and make adoption and implementation decisions about the use of TBL.
