C4 - Communication: A Relationship Centered Approach

This presentation will provide an overview of training and research on
the impact of communication in the health care setting. In addition,
excerpts from educational modules to enhance communication in both human
and animal medicine will be presented and will include video demonstration
and simulations. In addition, a description of a faculty development
program using adult learning principles will be provided. The session will
include didactic, experiential and interactive teaching modalities to
demonstrate diverse and innovative strategies for skill-based
communication training. |
