C1 - Becoming an Effective Course Director

This Faculty Development Course will give insights on how to effectively organize and manage a basic science course. Information will be presented concerning what students feel are important characteristics of a course director and these responses will be compared and contrasted to faculty and administrative opinions. An extensive list of helpful suggestions and survival tactics will be provided. The course will be part didactic and part interactive where various problematic student/course director scenarios will be addressed.
