We in IAMSE believe that science must continue to be the basis for the practice of modern medicine. To successfully minister to the needs and comfort of injured bodies, physicians, veterinarians, and other health professionals must be able to combine compassion, understanding, and communication skills with a readily accessible knowledge base.  We believe that all medical faculty members have an obligation to their students, their discipline, and their self-integrity to model the highest standards of professionalism in all aspects of their lives. And, we believe in equality of cultural diversity, embracing all colleagues regardless of geographic or political boundaries. As disease is universal, so too must be the preparation of all those who train future generations of physicians.
